Blincyto® Patient Brochure

Every person who picked up these patient brochures for acute lymphoblastic leukemia was either diagnosed with this grim disease or a caretaker of that individual. I sought to give the brochure design a calm and editorial feeling to balance out the heaviness of the subject matter. There was an enormous amount of information to be communicated, simple typography and graphic icons took the users through the booklet.

How do you explain to a child that they have leukemia and what it's doing to their body? The challenge was to communicate a story for a parent to share with a child that was informative yet visually simple. Below is the "Explaining Cancer" spread and how the medication works.
